Hello XXXXXXXX
I see you have attempted to use starting fluid. What were the results?
Did the engine quit while you were driving ? If so, did it drive well (good idle, lots of power) before it quit ?
I'll assume for a moment that the engine did not start with starting fluid and that it quit while driving. A 2003 Malibu might have this problem if the catalytic converter failed (plugged up) . Don't rush out to buy a new one yet ! Removing the exhaust o2 sensor can usually allow enough of an exhaust path to allow the engine to start and idle.
Do you have access to a scan tool or a code reader ?
Do you have a spark tester and a noid light?
I'll stop here and wait for your reply before going further.
I will do my best to assist you. When you are finished please click on accept. I don't get paid unless you do.
