Question

I have a 2004 545i with a build date of 03/2004 so it does not have bluetooth. It also does not have the navigation system. Is there a way to add bluetooth to the car that doesn't involve replacing the TCU?   If so, how would I do it?

I would rather explore replacing something like a communications module so that my phone uses the car's idrive bluetooth system instead of buying an add-on.

Accepted Answer

in that case your going to have to go to the dealer and have the factory bluetooth installed.
