I have an 02 lincoln ls and the passenger side air vents blow hot air. While the driver side blows cold. This has just started to be more frequent. Could someone make a reccommendation as to the problem? Is this some thing a novice could fix?

Already Tried:
I've tried turning the ac off to see it that would reset the system. I've tried running the temperature up to high on the passenger side control. Problem just started and has become more frequent.

Hello and welcome to justanswer.com

It sounds like you have a bad dual heater valve or a problem with the electrical circuit. What you can do is pinch off the hoses going to the heater core. If the air is cool on both sides then you know it's either the valve or the circuit. If you do not have much mechanical experience the valve is not an easy job.

The hoses are located at the heater core connection in the back of the engine more toward the passenger side. You will see three hoses.

If it's the valve it costs about $500.00 parts and labor. It may be the wiring/circuit going to the valve or the controller but more often it's the valve.
