Question

My machine does not want to drain the water and stops half way through the cycle. If i do a manual pump the water drains ok. Is the pump blocked and is it easy to fix?

This problem is commonly a clogged pump (on a washing machine). You would access the pump and clear anything that is there.

 

If you would like more information, please post the model number of the washing machine (if it's a dishwasher... let me know).

Hi Bernie,

It is a Hotpoint WF320. It seemingly has a self cleaning pump which does look clean. the blockage must be in one of the pipes. Are they fairly easy to get too and remove?
