This does seem like an exceptionally long time to disburse your settlement.

Lawyers do not receive the interest on trust accounts so the reason for the delay is not likely that the lawyers want the interest.

If this were a typical individual case, I would say that there is a problem that you should immediately investigate. However, class action suits are different and typically have strict court supervision.

This having been said, I cannot definitively tell you whether there is any misdealing occurring. In order to make that determination it would be necessary for me to review the entire file from the point of settlement forward. This is not possible on this venue.

If after taking into account the information I have given you, you think that there may be misdealing on the part of the attorneys, you will need to retain a local lawyer to review the file.
