I was laid off in September of 2007 from a a division of a fortune 200 company for what I was told was budgetary reasons. I had received excellant to superior reveiws and had jus gotten a raise with the past 90 days. I had been with the company 7 years 8 months and was the 3 highest in senority of 7 members of my group. I was the field service engineer of choice for Anheuser-Busch flying across country, out side my regiion, to accomadate their needs. I have now learned that this fortune 200 company has filled my position with a new hire. This new hire also resides in Southern California. I now suspect the reason for my termination was the fact that during my employment my wife was diagnosised with Young Onset Parkinsons and had become a financial liability on the companies medical plan. Do I have a case for wrongful termination in the state of California.
