Question

1993 Buick Century 46000 miles. All of a sudden, on this hot day with the airconditioner on and radio, the car looses power while traveling at 65 mph. Give gas and it still slows down. Turnerd it off and drove but problem happened again. Got car home and it would not start...almost like the battery was dead. 10 min later it started.

Answer

You said (turned it off and it would not start for ten minutes) if it turned but wouldn't start the problem sounds like it could be the module in the distributor that replaced the points. I had a simular problem on a 1996 Comero.

What engine is this?

You refer to a dead battery, are you saying the starter would not crank the engine over?

GM has about 6 different V6's. Which one is in your car? It will be on the emissions label under the hood.
