Question

I have signed a relocation agreement with my company. It is for 2 years. During a meeting I made a comment to my boss regarding an artical we were to read. It stated "Why are with the company?" My reply was because I had a year left on my contract. He said to me that if I was so unhappy then he reliquishes me of all my obligations to the company. Do I have a leg to stand on?

I for some time now have been having issues with my boss. I have brought them up with him and management. This has been going on for years now with my boss and only since February of this year with upper management. I have been asking to be removed from his division only to hear that they are looking into it. There have been several issue with regards XX XXX submission of employee information by my boss. The most recent was the EOM for June and July which I submitted on time. June was submitted on the 9th of July and July was submitted on Aug 6th. There has been time charging issues that I have brought up to him and upper management. Only to be swept under the carpet. I just could not take it anymore and I resigned.

I submitted my resignation with my final work date of 12 September and they walked me out 4 days after my submission of my resignation stating that I am on administrative leave until the determination and investigation is completed. They have sent me a letter that said that if I sign the non-compete and no-solicitation letter then they would disregard the relocation expeses. This letter was sent 6 days after they walked me out.

He told me in late July that if I was so unhappy then he reliquishes me of all my obligations to the company which means that I do not owe them the relocation costs.
