I need to replace the oxygen sensor in my 2002 Suzuki X-L7 2.7 Litre engine. Where is the sensor located and is it a job that a DYIer can handle easily? Thank you. Chris Guelcher Mpls. MN

Nothing yet but check engine light goes on and off intermittently usually on hot days with extended driving. When car sits for several hours, the check engine engine light goes off.

I don't have a code yet. However I do know that on one particularly hot day I was towing an atv on a trailer and my catalytic converter got quite hot and smoke was coming off of it and this is when the check engine light started coming on..if that info helps.

OK.The first thing to do is have that light scanned.Once you have a code we can then determine 2 things.First,if you need an O2 sensor and second,which one.Autozone will scan it for you for free.Once you have the code reply to this post with it and we can take it from there.Hope this helps!
