Sjorgen,s syndrome comprises of dry eyes, dry mouth, arthritis like Rheumatoid arthritis etc and it is immune mediated disease.
90% of the patients are females usually in their 40s or above .
Dryness in mucous mebranes strating from eyes, mouth, nose, vagina etc gets aggaravated.swollen salivary glands because of obstruction in ducts.
Arthritis flare up asociated with joint stiffness, pain and swelling etc.

Sjorgen,s syndrome, as you know well being a health professional ,is a multisystem disease.
Flare up menifestations depend on the system or systems involved. apart from dry eyes, dry mouthm arthralgias etc, it may also exhibit problems associated with pancreas, neurological, respiratory, cardiac( like pericarditis) etc.
