Question

our catis 5 years old - she has periodilcally ran away for a month at atime. When she returns she is thin and vomits a few times, but then returns to normal. This last time she ran away for over a month. She then returned and she has been vommitting for 2 weeks now and can't eat anything. She is staying down our basement . My concern is for the cats health, but more for my new grandchild that is in the house. My question is - can her beign sick downstairs affect the people in the house up in the mainhouse/

As long as no one comes into contact with her feces or other bodily fluids than there is absolutely no risk of a zoonotic infection.
