Thank you so much for your question. It is my privilege to be able to help you.
There are many possible causes for spotting before your period. Could you answer a few questions for me so i could better understand what might be causing the spotting in your case? When is your period supposed to come? Are you using any birth control? Hos this ever happened before? Is there pain also, or just spotting? Please answer these questions., I would love to help you.
Thank you for the additional information. When spotting occurs right before your period is supposed to come, it usually does not indicate anything serious. It could be just the beginning of your period, and it is just spotting a little right before the real bleeding starts.
It is not uncommon, and generally is nothing to worry about. If the spotting starts to get worse or happen earlier in the cycle, it may be a sign of an infection, or a polyp ( a growth on the cervix or vagina) or some other problem. If it remains just a little spotting before your periods, you don;t need to worry. If it does get worse you should see your doctor, he/she can make sure you don't have any infections or polyps.
I hope you find this helpful. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me. If you are satisfied, please remember to ACCEPT the answer so that I get credit for my work. BONUSES and positive feedback are always appreciated. Good Luck! Dr. SaulJE
