Question

Am getting a p1345 code on my 98 blazer. I have checked the cam/crank and they are ok. any ideas? Could it be the sensor itself is bad? If so, how do you check it?

What your problem is, is that someone has moved the distributor throwing it out of synch with the crank sensor.

This cannot be set with a timing light because the timing is not adjustable. It requires the use of a class2 scan tool.There will be a PID in there called offset. The distributor needs to be turned to bring that number as close to 0 as possible. Any more than 3 or 4 degress in eiother direction will set a P1345.
