Answer

Hello and welcome to justanswer.com

To check the refrigerant charge you need a set of gauges or a service station that can weigh the refrigerant that is taken out of the system. The high side service port is located in the passenger front of the engine compartment on the receiver/drier and the low side service port is underneath the driver side on the a/c compressor.

Will that be underneath the driver side and can it be reached from the top or does the car need to be jacked up?

Accepted Answer

Yes the compressor is underneath the driver side. You can access it without jacking up the car but you can only get to it from the bottom.
