Accepted Answer

If you are refering to the Throttle Position Sensor/Switch, it is Replaceable only, no adjustments.
There is a Throttle Valve Switch
The throttle valve switch signals the DME control unit for full closed, part and wide open throttle positions.

Here is procedure for TPS (Throttle Position Sensor/Switch:

O.L is not the same as infinate ohms? if im supposed to have infinate and my reading drops to O.L , doesnt that mean i have an open inside the potentiometer?

Posted by molurch 450 days and 19 hours ago.

Answer

If you are refering to Throttle Valve Switch:
Be sure the meter is set to Ohms
Check with plug disconnected from Throttle Valve switch.
If there was a short to ground or another pin, then the meter should show a reading other than " 0 "

yeah, i was actually referring to the defenition of O.L which i beleive is open lead, and the defenition of infinate ohms is O.F.L. WOULD THAT BE CORRECT?

Posted by molurch 449 days and 23 hours ago.

Answer

Yes that is correct
