Question
I had my rear driver side window smashed. I bought a new glass, but when I take the door apart to remove the remnants of glass and put in the new, the window assembly doesn't go down more than an inch. I can't even access the glass bolts, since they're behind the top of the door frame. Is there some trick to getting the window assembly down while there's no window there, or do you think there's just a piece of glass wedged in somewhere, or what? I followed the instructions from my Chiltons, and the only step I was confused on was "loosen the bottom fastener of the rear door stationary window assembly, in order to provide clearance" - is this the bolt located just below the stationary corner window? It seems to not have an effect. The car is a Saturn 1994 SL2, power windows.

Already Tried:
Took the outer panel off, cleaned broken glass out. Inspected the window assembly (without removing it) and couldn't see any problems.
