Question

My 17 year old Himalayan became very lethargic, hides in the closet and doesn't want interaction (growls). I took him to the vet on Monday but he showed no remarkable problems, only a slight temp. The vet gave him fluids, drew bloodwork, and prescribed Baytril, 22.7mg, taken 1/4 tablet 2x daily. When I brought him home, he retreated to the closet and screamed, hissed and growled any time I approached him. This is totally unusual. His blood panel came back on Tuesday showing nothing out the ordinary other than slightly raised sugar and cholesterol. On Wednesday, the vet called to say there was no infectious disease..FIP, toxoplasmosis and FLK. I have seen minimal improvement in his drinking and today he ate a few bites of tuna. He still returns to the closet, wobbles slightly when he walked earlier, and is very closed eyed. I am worried sick. Can you offer any suggestions or encouragement?
