Question
I was backing out of a parking space, when a speeding van clipped the back corner of my car. It was in a parking lot (private property). I am currently uninsured, and the driver of the van insists I was at fault. I am wondering if I should off to pay his deductable to settle?

Nothing yet. It just happened a couple of days ago. Minimal damage to my car, maybe $3,000 to the van (a long scrape down the side) as he sped along.
Accepted Answer
It might be a wise move to pay the deductable. You could get in difficulty with your DL. otherwise. See
this
statute.
