Ok. I assume that you want wireless broadband in and around your home?

 

Your laptop has a wireless card built in. You therefore need to buy some kind of a wireless device that connects to your broadband connection. This is usually in the form of a wireless router.

Once you have the router configured, it will broadcast a wireless signal in your home and the wireless card in your laptop will pick it up.

Once you get to this stage, you can 'lock down' the router with something called a WEP Key so that only you can use the wireless signal. This will stop your neighbors from using your broadband connection.
