my wife mistakenly put 6 gallons of gas in our 2007 duramax and after realizing her error put 16 gallons of diesel in to fill the tank. is there anything i can add to remedy this error

Answer

The best thing to do is drain the tank the replacement engine will cost about 17,000 with labor. No additive available to fix

Answer

Another version is to add one gallon of gasoline to 20 gallons of diesel fuel as a cheap easy anti-gel for winter fuel. There is an anti siphon valve in the filler neck , You need to drop the tank to remove the level sender and then you can siphon the tank.
