Question

The 5 spd manual shifter on my console has become sloppy and loose. I was told this is a common problem with 93 escorts that have 150,000 miles+. It was also described to me as not a transmission problem but a shifter problem. I was considering repairing it myself. What are your thoughts

Answer

..HELLO!
I will agree that these shifters get sloppy over time. If you want to DIY I might be able to help some but first your skill level will have to be Fair or better. Your call here.
