First compressor froze. Shaft was broken. Second compressor ran perfectly for awhile (couple months) and started to lose its cooling.
Dealer added freon. Same thing happened several times. Went to an independent mechanic. He replaced the compressor again. Ran ok for awhile and then a/c clutch began cycling on and off. Another compressor. This has been going on all summer.

Accepted Answer

When a compressor seizes up metal is pumped through the hole a/c system ---and the system has to be flushed out ,to get all the stuff out --sometimes flushing will not get all of it out ----like the rear a/c , it has its own little filter mounted in the rear a/c lines ,,a lot of techs forget or do not know about this filter ,,,it can get clogged up easily ----and on the front a/c the condensor ( the thing in front of the radiator) it can get clogged up too and will not flush out -----I think this is your problem ---and maybe if you bring it to another dealer and sit down with the shop manager and tell them the history of your car ,,,they can handle it ---and then you can get your money back from the other repairs
