Hello,
Raising the bowl will help with gas and help prevent Bloat which can be a major problem especially with a dog that gulps dog food. I would go back to the bland diet and Pepcid for a few days. If this problem continues, you may want to speak to the Vet about adding Metoclompramide Reglan which helps with nausea as well as a gut motility medication. Try and see if the raising the bowl helps . You may also want to break the meals up into an extra meal to prevent the heavy meal at one time. Please let your Vet know there is still a problem and the suggested solutions. Hopefully we can get this resolved. Joan

I am a Vet Tech for over 30 + years and have four rescued dogs of my own
Just wanted to let you know that I spoke with a vet here on the site (thank-you Dr. Z) and she said the newest study shows that raising the dish can cause bloat just as easily as if it was on the floor. " The Purdue study on bloat. But one of the things the study found was that raising the food dish actually increases the risk of bloat, rather than decreasing it as we had always assumed. While there are situations and conditions were raising the food dish is indicated (such as a dog with megaesophagus), I would not routinely recommend doing so."
I would try the smaller meals and follow the protocol and see if more time helps, if not ask your Vet about the Reglan. Joan
