I have 2004 Silverado Automatic 4 speed transmission, and the speedometer won''t go back to zero mph, right now it''s at 100 mph and when I drive the needle goes past 120mph, some clues; battery went dead and had to recharge with a charger, checked fuses all good, everything else works but the criuse control

Sometimes we have issues with the instrument clusters, The guages will stay high, and read incorrectly. There is a chance that if your guage does not return to 0 when the key is off, you would need a new ipc cluster. They cost around $275.00 plus labor, and the dealer would have to install and program the cluster.A dealer could sweep your guages with a scan tool to verify. I would first check the speed sensor at the transfer case for fluid leakage.This would tell you if a leaky sensor is at fault, but it sounds like a cluster to me.Good luck...Gary
