Answer

You could possibly have a faulty lift pump. The truck can start if the system is primed with a lift pump inop. the lift pump puts out 9-11psi. One way to check is to shut off engine, key on, loosen the bleeder on your filter housing, and power the lift pump to check output.please ask if you have any more questions Thanks... Gary

Reply to Gary's Post: do i turn the key back on to repoweer the pump and should fuel come out if the pump is working properly

Accepted Answer

With the key on, remove the cover on your firewall on the passenger side, you will find a black fuse holder to the left, remove the fuse from the cover, leaving the fuse plugged into the wires, this is the lift pump fuse. Crack open the bleeder, and touch the tip of the fuse to the electrical stud mounted right next to the fuse. This is a power stud, it will power up your pump, and it should run, and pump out of the bleeder with some pressure.Thanks...Gary
