Accepted Answer

Hello and thank you for choosing just answer. If the egr valve and modulator valve have already been replaced have you performed any vaccum tests? Most common issue here is for carbon to build up in the lines and usually you get an intermittent issue with the VSV thagt controls the egr valve. If you folow the vaccum lines from the egr system you will see they go down behind the engine and the vsv is located on the lower block (passenger side)

Failure of the actual EGR valve is uncommon on this car, port blockage from carbon is more likely so you may have just wastd unneeded $$$ on that valve. I usually find that the vsv has issues and replace the vsv and modulator as a pair.

As far as the tail lamp failure indicator this can be caused by many things, blown/incorrect/shorted bulb in the rear or a bad tail light sensor.
