Hello Sir,

I have an ongoing case in court of which I am the plaintiff; I need help with writing an appeal petition against the summary judgement which was issued because I did not file objections on the first day of hearing. I wasn't aware that the objections were to be filed on the first day. So basically, I need help with creating an appeal petition.

Thank You,
Harry.

if you are handling the matter pro se, it is quite a task. you probably need to research the law and see if the rule is a bright line rule about timing or whether the court can issue some extension for good cause. you should also include the merits which are your objections. but frankly, i recommend you retain local counsel given the sensitive nature of the matter. appelate tribunals dont like reversing lower courts and so the appeal needs to be errorless and even then will be an uphill battle.

You will still have the opportunity to follow-up if needed. Leaving a BONUS and positive feedback is not required, but doing so is appreciated.

Kindly remember that sometimes the law does not support what we want it to support, but that is not the fault of the person answering the question, so please be courteous.

There can also be a delay of an hour or more in between my answers because I may be helping other customers or taking a break.
