if the probation officer made an error in calculations as it pertain to you, advise him or her, and if that doesnt work, advise the probation department supervisor, and if need be, the court.

Answer

you should ask your probation officer for the closing date for your probation and ensure that the leap year is accounted for.

Reply to NYCLAWYER's Post: My Judge did not add the leap year to my sentence. I am already in court and the judge would like documentation on this matter. A urine sample was taken from me on the 21st of July on the day my probation was supposed to expire. My probation officer called me in to urine on the day my probation expired and said it was positive. If I can prove I did every last day including the extra day of leap year This means that my probation expired on the 21st of July 2008 and not the 22nd of July 2008. I was given 3 years probation on 7/22/04.With leap year Probation should expire 7/21/08. Where can I get this documentation?

Answer

You probably want to bring documents that show the above claims along with a calendar so that you can demonstrate it.
