I have a 97 740il with m-pars using 235/40 on the fronts and about 1 mth ago replaced the tires. Now I have this noise that is similar to that of cupped tires except it is constant iulike the up and down of cupped tires. I would start to hear the noise at about 25 mph. I tried letting the out of gear to see if it stop but no change. It stays constant with speed. Bwt I have 265,000 miles on the car. Never had any trans or eng problems. Any ideas as to what it may be.

If no noise before tire replacement .... and have noise after tire replacement ... bad tires or different brand tire that you are not used to. Most likely in the tires !!!

Different tires, unfortunately. Go to the dealer that you bought them from and complain about the noise. Raise the roof if you have to !!1
