vietnamese friend sole provider of sr parents had temporary 5%; then 43% permanent disability (back injury working for truck company) being presented with papers to sign w/no future medical coverage and a small weekly payout over next 3yrs. Disability app was rejected by soc. security. needs advice on rights and proper amt. to accept or can he take case to trial based on his young (32yrs) age w/many years left to support parents, himself, fiance, sister, bros., and ltd education and English? DOESN''T KNOW WHAT HIS RIGHTS ARE. EVERYONE LOOKING TO HIM TO SUPPORT THEM AS IN PAST.

Answer

You need a good workers compensation attorney - please find one online or through thelawyer referral service of your state bar association - you do not have to pay the lawyer any money - your lawyer will get his money from the insurance company - the lawyer will also help you get approval from Social Security on appeal even though they have rejected your claim. Sorry you did not find my advice helpful - I do not understand why you would want detailed appraisal and value of you workers compensation claim from a lawyer you do not k now, over the internet for $30, when you could get it completely free and face to face from a lawyer in your own city. I will "Opt Out" and perhaps someone else here can help you. All the best,

See latest response from atty. If it's possible to get legal advice from an atty free in our own area, I certainly don't know where.

BOTTOM LINE IS, I am not at all happy with this response and do not feel I owe him anything.

You don't have to pay me if you are unhappy - tellme where you live and I will direct you to an attorney who will talk to you there and handle your workers compensation claim at no charge to you ...
