Info Request

Hi XXXXXXXXX. Thank you for asking your question on Just Answer. The other Experts and I are working on your answer. By the way, it would help us to know:

-Could you explain your situation a little more?

How many blinks between the pause on the green light?

How long have you owned the TV?

What have you tried to correct the problem?

Do you wish to repair this yourself, if so and if needed, what type of electronic training do you have?

What type of TV test equipment do you own?

Thank you again for trusting us with your problem. Please reply as soon as possible so that we can finish answering your question.

Reply to Edward's Post: 2 years old. Green light blinks slightly faster than once per second. Previously, It would blink approximately 10 times and then turn to solid green as the picture began to appear. the TV is just over 2 years old. We've tried turning it off and on by hand several times, tried turning the brightness up. Tried leaving it sit for 4 hours. There is a potential fan issue as the fan seems to be running more frequently now...or so someone here thinks. We do not own any TV Test equipment and have only rudimentary electronics training are aren't willing to do more than simple repair/replace of major items (bulb). The owners manual has a mention of the green light turning red when the bulb needs replacing though the light haven't ever turned red.

Accepted Answer

The first thing I would reccomend is unplugging the TV for an hour or more. This power reset may correct the problem and will reset the TV back to the original factory options. Let me know if this does not correct the problem and I will continue.
