Info Request

Dear XXXXXXX,

If you have sufficient revenue to pay the payments, then yes...you may find people to do that.

But lets find out what relief may be available first without borrowing for life necessities.

Can you tell me this:

  1. What is your and your husband's ages?
  2. What is your income level?
  3. IS anyone in the household handicapped?
  4. What is the name of your utilities provider?

Income is $29000 per year
No one is handicapped
Utilities provider
Electric PA power and Light PPL
Phone : Verizon
Cell: Verizon
Cable: RCN
We want to get married, but that means even more money we don't have.
Any suggestions?

Answer

Dea XXXXXXX,

Unfortuantley there is no much out their for all of those areas.

all you have available for your situaion is the so called CAP program with PPL. You can read about it at this link: http://www.liheapch.acf.hhs.gov/profiles/Penn.htm#utility

Please do not exclude yourself from the program...apply for it in writing, and make them say no.

all you can do with Verizon is to reduce or cancel the service....if you call them, they may be able to offer you a cheaper plan.

If you have more than basic cable, you will have to reduce your service to save money.

The problem you have is that if you are not able to handle day to day expenses, it will be hard to get a loan.

the only place I can think of that you might be able to get a loan for this purpose is:

http://www.prosper.com

Finally, you might also find assisstance with rent at your faith community. Many faith communities (chruches) have programs to assist people who are havng a hard time with rent.

There are rent assistance programs for low income families, but they do not help single people, unless you are a single parent.
