Accepted Answer

There is actually a TSB out for this issue. According to the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin also known as common problems) the Reaction sun gear does not hold inside the reaction sun shell. This causes the car to lose reverse or second gear or fourth gear.

NO REVERSE OR SECOND GEAR OR FOURTH GEAR - 4L60/65-E - REVISED00-07-30-022C12/1/2004132 KB
