removed rear seat and checked under r/window ledge

The remote keyless entry reciever is located on the right rear inner quarter panel near the quarter window. According to my info the trim panel must be remove to access this module. If you need further assistance let me know and I will see what I can find! Good luck!

Answer

Have you found this unit as of yet? I did some further investigating and there is a chance that this could be under the rear seat on the drivers side of the car. I hope this helps, if not let me know! Thanks!

Answer

I will try to come up with the actual paper back manual on this one from gm. Maybe that will be more descriptive. I did get an illustration from gm parts and that showed the unit under the rear seat. I will get back to you asap!

Info Request

Ok thanks for that info. You may be right about that. Let me see if I can find out for sure. Would you by chance have the last 8 digits of the vin#? If you can post them it may help. This will help me when I contact gm further.

Answer

Ok I have checked with gm technical assistance and they are as confused as we are. THey tell me that the module on this car is located under the rear seat also. My concern is that they are just using a generalized illustration. Here is what you vin# should be 2g4wf1506110. Let me know if this does not make sense! Good luck!

Answer

Sorry about that. I did type the vin# wrong. I missed a few digits. My printout was very fine print. Anyway, gm technical assistance states that the reciever is located under the rear seat. I am not sure where else to check. I am going to opt out to see if any other experts have any other info in regards to the placement.

Thanks for your efforts. Have a good one! Gerry

Answer

It should be located on rear Shelf, Passenger side, next to speaker. Unless you do not have Factory Keyless, then it is usually mounted under driver dash
