have tried gspot and found codec for video are on my pc but still cant play

Uninstall the codecs,

Uninstall Media player

Reboot

Reinstall media player

Reboot

Reinstall Codecs

Reboot

Sorry I forgot. WMP is a perm part of Vista in the North America version.

Try to install GOM as a player, HERE

reboot

Then install the codecs

Reboot

Try to play in GOM

dont have anyother computer to try it on and if it helps it

i can play XviD on GOM but not the ones above

Ok well you either have

a) a bad torrent

-or-

b) it has DRM protection on it

Find another version and try again. If it has DRM and not been ripped properly, then you wont be able to play it. As well studios release defective XDiv to prevent downloading, and sour distributions.

I have gone through all your codecs, the re-install, the GOM application and testing, and we have no determined it is a bad torrent.

Answer

That is the risk of downloading torrents. When you try to download items for free often you get garbage with it.

I cant speculate on why it wont work for two different players with proper codec installation and reinstallation.
