I just started a birth control method called nuvaring. It told me to put the ring in after i started my period. Well i put it in before i started my period and left it in for about a week. Then i had sex with my boyfriend and we didnt use any protection. so he comed in me. Could it be possible that im pregnant?

Dear Guests,

If you left your Nuva Ring in for at least 7 days then you should be fine, but the product manufacturer does say to use an alternate method of birth control for the first week and then it claims to be 99% effective. Because you inserted it a week early, it will more than likely just throw your cycle off a little...but you should be fine otherwise. I am listing you the manufacturer website for your reference.
