1995 Intrepid problems

I have a 1995 Dodge Intrepid: 140,000 miles...it is a great car but, lately it has come to hair pulling troubleshooting. fuel pump replaced in Feb. and fuel filter...in mid april it started stalling while in drive, sometimes hard to start..replaced coil pack, spark plug wires, and crankshaft position sensor. Now engine light comes on and the motor seems to be shaking...I have heard that could be O2 sensor...I'm sick of paying a service center to run diagnosis($80), I'm about ready to throw my arms in the air...maybe drive it off a cliff lol...any ideas would be appreciated.

The first thing to do is access the trouble codes to see why the light is on here is the prcedure for that.

Code retrieval can be accessed by the ignition key or by a diagnostic readout box(DRB).To obtain the codes using the key method,set the park brake,and put the vehicle in Park/neutral.
Some 95 and later OBDII vehicles, you may be able to retrieve OBDII codes with this procedure, if equipped with digital dash.

  • Turn the ignition key ON,OFF,ON,OFF,and finally ON again(ENGINE NOT RUNNING)
  • The codes will start to flash on the POWER LOSS or CHECK ENGINE light.
  • FLASH,pause,FLASH,FLASH=code 12
  • Once you have the code or codes post back with the numbers and we can start with some diagnostics.
