I have tried them all and have found frontline plus to the most effective medication. Advantage, although easy to use, does not provide the same level of protection.
If you are looking for a multipurpose remedy, you should try Revolution. It is a little expensive but one dose each month on the back of the neck controls fleas, ticks, heartworms and intestinal parasites. It also controls ear mites and effectively treats some instances of mange.
This would be my choice.
