Question

Hi,just installed a 65 Muncie M-20 in a 68 Camaro 327,after adding oil and leaving it sit over night i noticed a leak from between the trans.and the bellhousing,it is not overfilled,i replaced the gaskets and seals before installing,i will slide the trans.out today for a look see,any ideas,thanks for any help.

Hello XXXXXXXXXXXXXX,

It sounds like the front gasket,on the input shaft is leaking.I would inspect the input shaft housing & the transmission case for poor sealing surfaces & cracks.

The leak was coming frem the cluster gear shaft,there is a small amount of clearance between the shaft and the bore allowing oil to leak by,looks like just answer accepted your answer for me,you were in the general area.
