Question

I put a towel in the microwave for about 35 seconds, heat it up and put it around my neck, for you advise me against that, or would you say it doesn't hurt to ease the swelling in my neck.

Applying a warm pack on the swelling like the way you are doing will help - it will decrease the pain as well as the swelling to some extent.

Please apply the pack for 10 minutes 2 times a day to get a good effect.
