hello. the procedure for replacement of the switch is listed below... it is fairly easy and should only take 1-2 hours at most.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system. Caution: This vehicle has a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs. To help avoid that: (1) Refer to SIR Component Views to determine if you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring. (2) If you are [performing service on or near SIR components or the SIR wiring], you must disable the SIR system. See: Body and Frame\Interior Moulding / Trim\Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming\Service and Repair Remove the steering wheel inflator module. Remove the steering wheel. Remove the tilt lever. View Full Image Remove the screw caps from the upper steering column cover. Remove the screws from the upper steering column cover. Remove the upper steering column cover. View Full Image Remove the screws from the lower steering column cover. Remove the lower steering column cover. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. View Full Image Remove the ignition switch set screw. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Remove the lifting magnet from the ignition switch. Insert a small flat-bladed tool into the ignition switch electrical connector hole in order to depress the locking tab. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition switch. View Full Image Disconnect the electrical connector from the theft deferent module (1). Remove the theft deferent module (1) from the ignition lock cylinder housing. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. View Full Image Pull ignition switch toward the rear of the vehicle and slide to the left to remove the ignition switch from the ignition lock cylinder housing.
