malfunction light went on driving on the highway at 65mph engine sounded rough. when i went out to drive it a short distance and parked then tried to restart car, would not go without stalling out. i am wondering if you have an idea what it could be

Hi,since the MIL came on,the dealer tech,will check for codes. This will give him a direction to go in,such as fuel,or ignition. Without this,any answer would just be a guess. If I had to guess ,it would be a fuel problem,possible fue pump,let me know what you find ,and if you need any more help with this,thanks,Jerry.

honestly i had hoped to have an answer two days ago, so its late, and i can't justify paying for a guess.. i am sorry.

no problem. its being looked at in the a.m. i am hoping its nothing serious. we were having issues with a loose belt, so maybe its connected somehow. we wil see. i will let you know. thanks for asking.

It may be possible a loose belt ran the batery down,I have had this happen a few times. The battery had enough power to start the engine,then thre was not enough powe to run correctly,It can fool you.
