hi
what state is this? keep in mind that federal law will not allow you to have a gun and your crimes are showing with NICS because they have never been removed through the process of expungement. some states do not allow felonies to be removed. so when you mention a gun board restoring your rights i do not understand. so i will need your state
Hi
I believe the problem is your felonies are still showing on your criminal record and that would show on a background check. you would need to file for removal of those records by the court or courts with a petition for expungement. when a board grants restoration that does not mean the records have been sealed and they can still be obtained on a records check by the federal government. that would be why NICS denied your application. you should talk to the board members and ask for a lawyer who can help you with getting that done
