When i Wake up in the morning, the soles of my feet are sore. I find that if i put on pair of supportive heels or workout shoes, I dont seem to experience the pain of walking. What could this be symptom of and how to treat?

While this could be anything, one thing to look for is plantar fasciitis:

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/plantar-fasciitis/DS00508

"Do your first few steps out of bed in the morning cause severe pain in your heel?"

"# Sharp pain in the inside part of the bottom of your heel, which may feel like a knife sticking in the bottom of your foot
# Heel pain that tends to be worse with the first few steps after awakening, when climbing stairs or when standing on tiptoe"

Treatments can include foot splints, exercises, steroids, and finally surgery.
