You need to check a few things that are common issues with your x-type. Make sure the fans are coming on. Those vehicles had problems with the cooling fan module, t-stat, t-stat hose walking off the housing causing a major leak, and the water pump impellars breaking. You don't want to drive this vehicle when it's running hot you can due major engine damage.
