Question

Is it possible to sue a judge for emotional distress? This would involve a simple matter like getting legal guardianship which I actually already have for a handicapped daughter? I am a mother of 28 years.

Thanks for your question. This would be a very difficult thing to do here to file suit against a sitting judge. You may however have recourse against the judge by filing a complaint with the commission on judicial conduct in your state if you feel that you have been mistreated here by the judge.

They investigate matters involving judges and may sanction or reprimand them based on the findings of the investigation. You certainly have my sympathy and I would encourage you to file. This costs you nothing here and may be the more likely way you see that justice is done at least administratively here/ Good luck to you here..
