Question

we have pet mice, one of them has a growth or lump ; what ever it is has grown on his side. he moves well, eats and drinks. i have no idea what to do for him or where to take him. i''m not sure if any vets in my area treat mice. please tell us what can this be and how to help the little guy. also do yiu have any idea of cost?

Hello,

There are Vets that treat pocket pets. As far as the lump it may be anything from a Cyst, Lipoma, (fatty Tumor) to a Malignant tumor. I can try and find you a list of Vets that treat exootic pets and paocet Pets. There are even Mouse and Rat organizations. This is a listing by state of Rat and Mouse Vets. The avaerage cost of a visist is about $35-$45 dollars, then the care that is needed for the lump. Please let me know if I can further assist you. Joan
