Hello,

Can I get the model number to the Appliance. How much water did you get down the vent?

and the vent goes to the furnace.

Answer

Hello,

I'm sure the few drops will be ok. It is not likely that the drops even made it to the furnace itself.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I hope this is enough information. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it though.

Reply to MrBill's Post: Will the water dry on its own before causing any bacterial problems? I know his is also silly but I'd like your opinion becasue my daughter worrys about bacteria.

Accepted Answer

Hello,

You are only describing a few drops of water. I believe that a few drops of water will evaporate in pretty much no time at all. I don't believe this is enough time for any bacterial issues, mold and anything of the sort.

To give you a better idea. On your refrigerator there is a drip pan. Every time your fridge goes into defrost, water leaves the freezer and goes under the fridge. This water can sit for a hours before it evaporates. This is a constant cycle on your fridge. The couple drops down the vent will not be noticable at all. Put a couple drops of water on your sink and see how long that takes to evaporate. This is not going to cause any issues.

If you have anymore questions, please ask.
