Hello,

In the situation you describe, secondary bacterial infections like pneumonia, due to canine influenza, good choices of treatment should include a combination of broad spectrum antibiotics such as a fluoroquinolone + penicillin, either orally, if eating, or by injection, if the dog is not taking anything by mouth. Supportive care, such as IV fluid therapy is of course helpful, and the antibiotics could be give through IV fluids, as well. You can find more information, below:
