I have less than 15 employees. Am I required to offer bereavement leave to my employess or can I insist that they use paid/sick days or vacation days?

Under the law there is no bereavement leave except by policy. Under the family medical leave act, you are only required to comply if you have 50 or more employees. You can always insist that they use sick or vacation days or take the leave is unpaid if you grant it.
